After three successful years, CAPCA and Pathway to PCA will be hosting the Student Network Event again at Annual Conference. This year we anticipate 75+ students interested in a PCA license to attend.
The success of previous years is due in very large part to the investment from industry partners - CAPCA sustaining member companies, CAPCA Chapters and individual members, local Ag Commissioners, UC IPM staff and UCCE Farm Advisors - thank you! Every year students rate their interactions with industry professionals and the most valuable part of the experience for them.
Title Supporter Registration is $500 for CAPCA sustaining member companies and includes:
*The breakout rotations from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. will consist of three panels and a resume workshop. The company representative participating on the panel should be a licensed PCA and willing to share about career opportunities and the variety of their day-to-day job activities. The panel tracks will be for Retail, Manufacturing and an In-House/Independent PCAs/Cooperators panel.
**Internships are for positions that do not require a PCA license.
Title Supporters are invited but not required to participate in the above program elements. Registration is limited to 4 Title Supporters for 2019. The purpose of the Student Network Event is to bring together industry with educators and the next generation of PCAs, to highlight the career options available to students who are interested in obtaining a Pest Control Adviser's license and facilitate their successful transition into lifelong careers.

10 a.m. Educators' Workshop (Educators & Industry Representatives)
Attend the Educators' Workshop to dialogue with the campus representatives engaging with students on a daily basis to identify gaps and bridges for students transitioning into PCA careers.
12 p.m. Student Network Event Begins - Lunch & Career Session (Students, Educators & Industry Representatives)
Students are seated at lunch with CAPCA Members and Industry Professionals for introductions and informal networking, followed by career advice session for students hosted by CAPCA Members. Luncheon tickets are $50 per person. Request Luncheon tickets.
2 p.m. Breakouts - Panel Discussions & Resume Workshop (Students, Educators & Industry Representatives)
Groups of 15~ students will rotate through three discussion panels to hear from active PCAs about the varied career opportunities and NEW for 2019: Each group of students will also have 30 min in the Resume Workshop, allowing industry recruiters/representatives to provide student feedback on their resume in a small group setting.
4 p.m. Event Concludes
